The abandoned church in Paris was built with a secret passage to the Paris Catacombs in the floor located underneath the bell tower. The church could be seen from atop the Cathedral of Notre Dame.

History

Dante Vale, Zhalia Moon, Lok Lambert, Sophie Casterwill and Cherit find the abandoned church using hints that they found in Joan of Arc's notes from the Cavern of the Gargoyle. DeFoe and his Suits attacked the team, and they retreated into the caverns destroying the entrance. S1E05

The bell tower had sunlight streaming down to the floor, over the entrance into the catacombs. The sunlight streamed from a series of mirrors that would reflect it at a certain angle to trigger the mechanism. Sophie used these mirrors to reflect a Raypulse spell to open the passage to the Paris Catacombs. source?
