Hernán Cortés' vault is a large underwater cave located deep in the Sea of Cortés, also known as the Gulf of California. The Spanish conqueror Hernán Cortés buried all of his treasure here, along with the Ring of Umbra, the Legendary Titan of Dimensions which he had found in the Yucatan. In addition to numerous deadly traps, he left his Titan, Conquistador, to guard the treasures.

Following a clue from Eathon Lambert, Dante Vale found the entrance to the vault during a thunderstorm out in the Sea of Cortés. With help from Metagolem, he entered the vault and used Ignatius to defend himself from some arrows. He then discovered Conquistador with the force field. Meanwhile Lok Lambert, Sophie Casterwill and Den Fears recovered the Pied Pipe in Hamelin Cathedral. S2E41
After meeting in Baja, California, the Huntik team dived down to the vault where, following Nostradamus' quatrain, they used the Pied Pipe to charm Conquistador into disabling the barrier. However they were interrupted by Wilder and his team, who had found the cave mapped in the Organization's extensive data archive. They took them hostage before continuing into the vault, where Dante set of one of the traps, causing a chain reaction and giving the team an opportunity to fight back. Using Kaioh the Tracker, Dante was able to find the Ring from a selection of fake Amulets before regrouping. However, the Organization blocked the exit with rocks, trapping the Huntik team with Conquistador. At the moment, Dante invoked Umbra, teleporting them all to safety. S2E42
Trivia[]
- The vault appears to have inspired the design of the Yucatan water ride attraction at Rainbow Magicland which is decorated with large statues of Umbra.
