Gybolg is a fierce Gaia-Titan from the stories of Celtic Ireland who belonged to the fierce dog warrior, Cú Chulainn. Gybolg's name means "barbed spear" and represents the strength of earth and the swiftness of water. He wields a mighty sword and can summon forest minions named Calbolg to fight by his side.

History

In ancient times, Gybolg was used by the fierce dog warrior, Cú Chulainn. Scarlet Byrne theorized that Cú Chulainn had to defeat a water Titan or clear a water trap in order to find his Gybolg's Amulet. His Amulet was eventually left in the Newgrange Passage Tomb in Ireland. S1E13

Years later, Scarlet, with the help of Dante´s team, managed to locate and bond with this Titan. Gybolg was then invoked to fight alongside Dante's team aginst Klaus' Suits and defeat one of their Bonelasher Titans. S1E13

Scarlet invoked Gybolg after she was ambushed by Firbolg the fierce giant whilst searching for Tír na nÓg, the magical floating castle. After enduring some hits, Gybolg was able to demobilize Firbolg and defeat him. S2E48

Abilities

When Gybolg starts a combat his attack power increases, thanks to his Berserker ability. Gybolg can also use his mighty sword to slice through enemies. Gybolg can use some of his strength to call his minions, Calbolgs to raise an army to fight with him, an ability he shares in common with Bazela's Hive and Ymir. He is also fairly durable.
