Midnight Roc is one of the titans of the Blood Spiral Brotherhood and is used by hunters of the Casterwill Family.
History
The Midnight Roc is based on a mythological bird that comes from Arabic and Persian legends. Reportedly Rocs were giant birds of prey that were strong enough to carry off an elephant. These stories spread to the West in the travels of Marco Polo and later in the 1001 Nights' tales (such as Abd al-Rahman and Sinbad the Sailor). In 16th century Europe, Rocs became as accepted as an actual creature (in the same way that dragons were). Roc myths may be based on skeletons of extinct birds or dinosaurs.
Abilities
Midnight Roc is a master of spying and agility. The incredible speed of his matches that of Solwing. His sharp claws and beak are extremely piercing.
