Skingrip is a spell that restricts the movement of the enemy. The target is wrapped from head to toe in a yellow, mummy cloth-like energy that can temporarily ensnare and halt the opponent. If the target is experienced with spells or possesses great physical strength, it is possible for the bonds to be broken.

Skingrip was used by the Professor, through the conduit of his Ring of Araknos, to temporarily bind Montehue while in King Solomon's mines. S1E23 Simon also used the spell to bind Sophie Casterwill, who easily broke free thanks to her powers. source?
