Template:Infobox titans Not all werewolves are evil hungry monsters. The Wolf Knight is a noble Titan that is gentle around children and animals, but fierce in the heat of battle.
History
Along with his close Titan cousin Fenris, Wolf Knight is largely responsible for many of the werewolf legends that emerged out of England at the beginning of the 11th century. While the tales of a werewolf's maddening rage came primarily from the more aggressive, uncontrolled Fenris, the associations with the full moon and transformation from man to wolf-man can be attributed to the abilities of Wolf Knight. Full moon iconography adorns Wolf Knight's armor, and his wolf-like traits are all enhanced under the light of the brightest moons. He never reverts entirely into a humanoid form, but on evenings with a new moon (that is, no moon at all), his claws, strength, fur, and senses are significantly less pronounced and less powerful. Under the glow of the fullest moons, however, there is little chance of anyone stopping Wolf Knight.
Abilities
Under the light of moon, Wolf Knight is incredibly powerful, becoming very fierce and dangerous in the heat of battle, the brighter the moon the more strength he draws from it. Full moons being the most beneficial to him.
On the new moon however, his claws dull out, his strength diminishes, his fur recedes, and senses are dulled. He loses his power, and is incredibly fragile and vulnerable but can howl and out comes the moon in any way you want it.
Design History
Rough Sketch
The Wolf Knight is a noble werewolf that is trying to fight his inner rage and work on the side of good. He wears special armor that lets him use his claws but leaves his feet bare so he can still run quietly. This sketch did a good job of showing the werewolf as something more calm than a crazy rabid wolf-man; however, we still wanted him to look dangerous, so we asked the artist to show more of Wolf Knight’s teeth.
Pencil Sketch
Definitely a step in the right direction! We now have a slightly angrier Titan with spiky armor and large claws. The moon in the background echoes that this is a werewolf-themed Titan, and that old castle gives the picture a sort of creepy Transylvanian look. But we still want more teeth!
Final Art
Growl! Now he looks angry, like he knows there’s a bad guy lurking nearby. All the card art for the Huntik Trading Card Game is square rather than rectangular, so the artist trimmed off the right and left sides of the art, leaving Wolf Knight as the focus of the picture. He’s focused and tough, but trustworthy—you never need to worry that Wolf Knight will go crazy and attack you by accident!

Trivia
- We classify many Titans as “evil,” though originally most were neither good nor evil. It is only after years of being bonded to strong-willed Seekers that a Titan tends to lean one way or the other. If, long ago, most of the werewolf-like Titans ended up in the hands of evil Seekers, over time those werewolves would become evil and everyone would assume that all werewolves are evil. The Wolf Knight represents a werewolf who was never corrupted by an evil Seeker. Though still ferocious, he can be kind and friendly.
